Baseball Recap: North Forrest Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Forrest can now relate to. They fell just short of the Loyd Star Hornets by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

North Forrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Spencer, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

North Forrest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Loyd Star, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-11 record.

While North Forrest had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
