            The Austin Black Bears will square off against the Athens Golden Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Austin's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season.
Austin's defense heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Tuesday. They took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  31-0 win over Lee. Fans of the Black Bears have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  points.

Austin found their leader in sophomore  Autumn Cassidy, who threw for 231 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 73.1% of her passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a pair of  scores. Cassidy is  crushing it when it comes to  passing touchdowns: she's   passed for at least three every time she's  taken the field this season. Austin's leading receiver  Destiny Acklin was  Cassidy's top target yet again, picking up 104 receiving yards and one  TD.
 One reason for the win was Austin's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department,  Aniyah Turner was the leader with two.
 Meanwhile, Athens faced Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Golden Eagles were  outmatched by the Red Devils and fell  35-0. The  game marked the first time this year in which the Golden Eagles were not able to get on the board.
 Austin's victory was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 30.8 points thus far. As for Athens,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-3.
