Preview: Redan vs. Westminster
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Westminster. On Friday they will take on Redan at 7:30 PM. Westminster don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
We expected Westminster to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Cedar Grove last Friday, and they did. Westminster ended up on the wrong side of a painful 3-30 walloping at Cedar Grove's hands.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Redan, and their contest last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They took a hard 20-35 fall against Stone Mountain.
Westminster took the matchup and then some with a 44-0 win over Redan the last time the two teams met. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westminster since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
