Kayden Quiroz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aryana Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Giada Partida, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
Western Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Western Christian pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Calvary Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
