Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Mountain vs. Lake Dallas

The Eagle Mountain Knights will venture away from home to take on the Lake Dallas Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Mountain's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Eagle Mountain was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They never let Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That looming 1-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Dallas entered their tilt with Springtown on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Porcupines with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Anissa Garcia was the driving force of Lake Dallas' attack as she scored all three of Lake Dallas' goals, bringing her season total up to 14 goals.

Lake Dallas' win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven contests. As for Eagle Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.

Eagle Mountain might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Lake Dallas in their previous matchup on February 7th. Can Eagle Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
