Basketball Recap: Cartersville Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cartersville had won two straight games and Wyatt Thomason did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Cartersville Hurricanes walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Trion Bulldogs thanks in part to Thomason, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 21 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game.

Cartersville's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Trion, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cartersville and Southeast Whitfield County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cartersville is facing Southeast Whitfield County at the right time seeing as Southeast Whitfield County is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Trion, they will welcome Haralson County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
