Softball Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lake Mary last Friday, Seminole came back down to earth. The Seminoles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Seminoles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Seminole saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Green, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Seminole has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole will venture away from home to face off against DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Mount Dora Christian Academy is facing Tavares at the right time seeing as Tavares is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
