Point Pleasant is a perfect 3-0 against Wayne since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. In other batting news, Lexi Napier and Kylee Copley did most of the damage at the plate: Napier went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Copley went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Copley has posted since back in April of 2024. Maddie Dillon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Point Pleasant now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wayne, their record now sits at 3-4.
Point Pleasant came out on top in a nail-biter against Wayne in their previous matchup back in May of 2018, sneaking past 3-1.
