Softball Recap: Colfax Extends Winning Streak to Three

Colfax won against Durand-Arkansaw on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Shell Lake Lakers a 3-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

The result came thanks to Laikyn Beyer's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brynn Sikora, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Colfax's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Shell Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Colfax will challenge Osseo-Fairchild at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shell Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
