Softball Recap: King Kekaulike Falls to Baldwin in First Game of Season

King Kekaulike kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Bears. If the Na Ali'i were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the Bears when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chiyo Salas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hilina'I Kuala'Au-Abbey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King Kekaulike will welcome Lahainaluna at 10:00 a.m. on March 15th. As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maui at 4:00 p.m. on March 12th.
