Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln can now relate to. They were dealt a 72-45 loss at the hands of the Classical Purple on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Purple: they've now lost three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliezer Delbrey, who posted 21 points. Delbrey's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Abdul Evans, who scored 16 points.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Classical, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor Classical have any future games scheduled.
