Volleyball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Harper Creek Beavers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Charlotte Rusch paced Northwest's offense, picking up four kills. Rusch got some help from Teddie Gerrish and her six assists. Avery Redmond controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-22-4. As for Harper Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-18 record this season.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hastings on the 25th. As for Harper Creek, they will take on Tecumseh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
