Basketball Recap: Leon Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Naomi Similien and Aubee Jean Lippman

It was a proper cat-fight when Leon duked it out withBuchholz on Saturday. The Leon Lions came up short against the Buchholz Bobcats, falling 57-35. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Leon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubee Jean Lippman, who posted nine points, and Naomi Similien, who scored six points. Those nine points gave Lippman a new career-high.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Booth, who earned 17 points. Kennedy Wyckoff was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Buchholz, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-12.

Leon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-42 win against Chiles on the 4th. As for Buchholz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-35 victory against Matanzas on the 4th.
