Volleyball Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. South Iredell Vikings

For the first time this season, Community School of Davidson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the South Iredell Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Community School of Davidson is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Community School of Davidson came up short against North Mecklenburg and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 18-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, South Iredell faced Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 26-24, 25-21.

Community School of Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for South Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
