Softball Recap: Three Rivers Wildcats vs. Hamilton Hawkeyes
After flying high against Centreville last Monday, Three Rivers came back down to earth. The Three Rivers Wildcats suffered a rough 14-3 loss at the hands of the Hamilton Hawkeyes on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Three Rivers in their matchups with Hamilton: they've now lost three in a row.
For Hamilton's part, Malenna Luckadoo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Savanna Eding, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs.
Having lost for the first time this season, Three Rivers fell to 1-1-1. As for Hamilton, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Three Rivers will face off against Niles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they are on the road again in Tuesday's first game to play Allendale at 4:00 p.m.
