Baseball Game Preview: Wren Hurricanes vs. Westside Rams

For the second straight game, Wren will face off against Westside. The Hurricanes will take on the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Wren fell victim to Westside and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Hurricanes have lost by exactly six runs.

For Westside's part, the result came thanks to Jaxson Barbee's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landon Geddings, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jacob Holmes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

The victory (which was Westside's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Wren, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
