Basketball Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. Tintic Miners
Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Tintic Miners at home by a 61-43 margin. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their loss to the Miners from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Briggs Wall, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Wall a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Breyden Jessen, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Altamont was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
