Basketball Recap: Yazoo City Skates Past Greenville with Ease

Yazoo City won the last time they faced Greenville and things went their way on Monday too. The Yazoo City Indians simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greenville Hornets 80-52.

When it comes to explaining why Greenville lost, don't look at De'Marion Gibson. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 17 on his way to 26 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Gibson a new career-high in rebounds. Adam Rankins also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Yazoo City's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Greenville, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Yazoo City nor Greenville have any future games scheduled.
