The home team had won the previous four meetings between Ennis and Red Oak, and Ennis kept the tradition alive. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hawks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since February 21st.

Colt Schilling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kevin Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Ennis' record is now 22-3-1. As for Red Oak, they moved to 13-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Ennis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
