After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Anthem Prep, Desert Heights Prep was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bagdad Sultans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Yote, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Desert Heights Prep never let Bagdad on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

Desert Heights Prep was led to victory by Kaylee Smith and Sydney Siffert. Smith had seven digs and three aces, while Siffert had 13 digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Desert Heights Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.

Desert Heights Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bagdad, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
