Football Recap: Alhambra Moors vs. South El Monte Eagles
Alhambra kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 21-6 fall against the South El Monte Eagles. The Moors just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Alhambra's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Adring Correa and Devin Martinez.
Matthew Medina looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Julian Lopez was in the mix as well, providing South El Monte with two touchdowns touchdowns.
Alhambra will head out to take on El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South El Monte, they will venture away from home to square off against Bishop Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bishop Montgomery focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
