Soccer Game Preview: Auburn vs. Blackstone Valley RVT

The Auburn Rockets will head out to square off against the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Auburn's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Douglas. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Auburn's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Douglas are ranked 231st).

Meanwhile, neither Blackstone Valley RVT nor South could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Auburn is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. Blackstone Valley RVT's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-3.
