Basketball Recap: Patterson Mill vs. C. Milton Wright Mustangs
Patterson Mill have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their tough 63-38 loss to C. Milton Wright on Wednesday might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Patterson Mill in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.
It was another big night for Dylan Sander, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 19 rebounds for C. Milton Wright. Sander is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cayne Woodland, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Patterson Mill's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2. As for C. Milton Wright, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Patterson Mill will face off against the Warriors at TBD on Friday. Havre de Grace is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for C. Milton Wright, they will challenge the Cougars at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fallston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
