Jefferson had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came out on top against the Morgan County Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Morgan County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden Burke had nine digs and two assists.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Morgan County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Morgan County will both be playing Franklin County the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Dragons will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
