Lisle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Westmont Sentinels with a sharp 14-4 win on Saturday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
McKenna Riley made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
