Volleyball Game Preview: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Stargate School Eagles

Arvada West has gone a perfect 3-0 against Stargate School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Arvada West Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Stargate School Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Arvada West came up short against Eaglecrest and fell 3-1. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Arvada West started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23.

Anden Draper put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Stargate School was able to grind out a solid win over DSST: College View on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

While Stargate School might've won, it sure wasn't easy: DSST: College View scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Arvada West's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Stargate School, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Arvada West was able to grind out a solid victory over Stargate School when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Arvada West repeat their success, or does Stargate School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
