Baseball Recap: Millard West Comes Up Short

Millard West was the 5-4 winner over Gretna when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Tyson Longlee was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Millard West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Swiercek, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another was Hunter Young, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
