It's playoff time, and Millry had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Fruitdale Pirates by a score of 11-7 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Pirates on April 8th, they had to take a 15-14 loss.

Scarlett Kirkland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Doggette, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Hayden Beasley, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs.

Millry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fruitdale only posted a batting average of .250.

The win made it two in a row for Millry and bumps their season record up to 13-10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Fruitdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

As of now, neither Millry nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
