Basketball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur fought the good fight in their overtime game against Suitland on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. The contest between the Mammoths and the Rams didn't end well, with the Mammoths falling 94-76. The Mammoths were up 24-6 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

MacArthur has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Suitland, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-15.

Looking ahead, MacArthur will square off against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mammoths will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Suitland has already played their next contest (against Wise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
