Football Recap: Collins Comes Up Short

Collins lost against Magee back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers came up short against the Trojans, falling 35-14.

Magee was led to victory by Travon Magee and Tyler Walker. Magee threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Walker rushed for 112 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Walker also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Magee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Collins didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-10 loss against West Marion on the 26th. As for Magee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 46-20 victory against Franklin County on the 26th.
