Volleyball Recap: Ascension Catholic Comes Up Short

Ascension Catholic lost against Vandebilt Catholic two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Terriers by a score of 3-2. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Terriers 25-19 in the first set.

Ascension Catholic actually scored more points across those five sets (107-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-12.

Ascension Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Vandebilt Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Ascension Catholic will welcome Episcopal of Acadiana at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vandebilt Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Thibodaux at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
