Basketball Recap: Willamina Takes a Loss

Willamina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 77-29 defeat at the hands of the Santiam Christian Eagles. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ryan Beauchamp and Coby Steele-Torosian certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Beauchamp posted nine points, while Steele-Torosian earned eight points.

Willamina's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Santiam Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Willamina and Santiam Christian will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
