Basketball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Takes a Loss

St. Michael the Archangel lost against Guardian Christian Academy last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Michael the Archangel Warriors fell just short of the Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights by a score of 29-27.

Despite the loss, St. Michael the Archangel still got an impressive performance from Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The match was Martinez's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jennifer Love-Villatoro, who posted six points.

St. Michael the Archangel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Guardian Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, St. Michael the Archangel will face off against The Carmel School at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Michael the Archangel has insisted on making their last four contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-2 during that stretch of close contests. Guardian Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
