Baseball Recap: Ore City Falls Short of Frankston in the Playoffs

Ore City and Frankston squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Ore City had to settle for second. They fell 6-1 to the Indians. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Ore City has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for Frankston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Ore City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frankston, they will square off against Hawkins on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.3, the Hawks 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
