Baseball Game Preview: Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers vs. Hunterdon Central Red Devils

The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Hunterdon Central Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Bridgewater-Raritan came up short against West Morris Central and fell 7-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

JR Rosado was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Michael Lobosco also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Hunterdon Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Warriors.

Hunterdon Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Bridgewater-Raritan skirted past Hunterdon Central 2-0 in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
