Basketball Recap: Waukesha Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waukesha Christian Academy can now relate to. They were beaten by the Rock County Christian Eagles 73-39 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock County Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gideon Ukwuorji, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Ukwuorji is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Derek Quinn, who went 8-for-15 en route to 19 points and eight boards.

Waukesha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Rock County Christian, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4.

Coming up, Waukesha Christian Academy will take on Maranatha Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock County Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Early View Academy of Excellence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
