 East Union took a 12-point  defeat the last time they faced off against Kimball, but they managed to turn things around  on Wednesday. The East Union Lancers narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Kimball Jaguars  5-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for East Union.
  Jackson Fay was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last nine times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Carson Sanders, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On Kimball's side,  Izach Brewer was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 At the plate,  Jaden Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 East Union's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 14-10. As for Kimball, they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-21.
 East Union will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kimball: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
