Maranatha Christian entered their tilt with Coastal Academy on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Stingrays with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Maranatha Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-13.

Carter 'CJ' Hays paced Maranatha Christian's offense, picking up 24 kills. Hays got some help from Jackson Ostrowski and his 35 assists. Owen Yi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Maranatha Christian pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Coastal Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Maranatha Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Southwest SD on the 11th. As for Coastal Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oceanside at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
