Soccer Recap: Olathe North Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Shawnee Mission East

Olathe North faced Shawnee Mission East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. Olathe North were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shawnee Mission East apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Olathe North dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Shawnee Mission East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Olathe North is set to face off against their familiar foe Olathe East on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Shawnee Mission East will take on rival Lawrence on Tuesday.
