Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Vikings vs. Kenwood Knights

For the second straight game, Northwest will face off against Kenwood. Northwest is taking a road trip to challenge Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Northwest is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Kenwood on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Landon Holliman and Damien Berry did most of the damage at the plate: Holliman scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Berry went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Holliman a new career-high. Cross Newman also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Kenwood dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northwest, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11.
