Volleyball Recap: Western Hills Wolverines vs. Great Crossing

After flying high against Owen County last Thursday, Western Hills came back down to earth. The Western Hills Wolverines lost 3-0 to Great Crossing on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.

While Western Hills ultimately came up short, they really made Great Crossing work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9, 29-27.

Rylan Lambert paced Western Hills' offense, picking up nine kills. Lambert got some help from Mallory Fint and her 11 assists.

Western Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season. As for Great Crossing, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-12.
