Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Macy Moore and Hadlee Sanderson Lead Brilliant to Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Brilliant rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 60-35 margin over the Waterloo Cougars. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Brilliant was led to victory by Hadlee Sanderson and Macy Moore. Sanderson dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Moore almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. What's more, Sanderson also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Omary, who posted nine points.

Brilliant is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Waterloo, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Coming up, Brilliant will challenge Lynn at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterloo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
