Preview: Fairview Apaches vs. Delta Panthers
Fairview has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Delta Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.
Fairview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Continental at home to the tune of 62-16. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-11.
Meanwhile, Delta came up short against Wauseon on Thursday and fell 42-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delta has scored all season.
Fairview pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Delta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Fairview against Delta in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 70-21 win. With Fairview ahead 50-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
