Lincoln East suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 61-39 walloping at the hands of Kearney. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln East has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Grand Island, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were outmatched by Lincoln Northeast on the road and fell 59-22. Grand Island was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-9.
Lincoln East's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Grand Island, their loss was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Lincoln East against Grand Island in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 63-20 win. With Lincoln East ahead 44-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
