Basketball Game Preview: West Potomac Wolverines vs. Lake Braddock Bruins

Having just played yesterday, the West Potomac Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Braddock Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Potomac is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.

West Potomac took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Woodson 59-32. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-11.

Olivia Jones was her usual excellent self, putting up 15 points. The game was her third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Beddis, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Braddock). They came out on top against Westfield by a score of 47-40 on Friday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

West Potomac's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Lake Braddock, their record is now 3-18.

Everything came up roses for West Potomac against Lake Braddock in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 68-25 victory. In that contest, West Potomac amassed a halftime lead of 55-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
