Lincoln unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 38-29 to the Franklin Pierce Cardinals on Friday.

Bryson Allen was a one-man wrecking crew For Franklin Pierce. as he rushed for 285 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Allen a new career-high.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-14 win against Yelm on the 11th. As for Franklin Pierce, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-20 loss against Lynden on the 13th.
