Softball Game Preview: Hampton Bulldogs vs. Rison Wildcats

Hampton hasn't had much luck against Rison recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Rison took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hampton, who comes in off a win.

Hampton is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They never let Hermitage get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Hermits recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Junction City hit Rison with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Dragons, falling 10-3.

Hampton came out on top in a nail-biter against Rison in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 9-8. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
