If Montgomery County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dooly County, they should've done a better job of containing Ja'Kayla Hooks. The Bobcats took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 65-28 victory over the Eagles for which the team can thank Hooks, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

Jazlyn Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. She also posted a block, marking her first of the season.

Dooly County's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Montgomery County, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Dooly County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Montgomery County, they have already played their next matchup, a 57-19 loss against Bacon County on the 22nd.
