The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Tigers are ranked 186th).

Blue Valley Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Blue Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Coming up, Blue Valley Northwest is taking a road trip to take on Blue Valley North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Blue Valley North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Blue Valley, they will face off against Saint Thomas Aquinas on Friday.
