Soccer Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beechwood Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Holy Cross of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Beechwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will head out to square off against South Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Beechwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Covington Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
